Fundraising is governed by:
-AFI 36-3101, Fundraising within the Air Force
-AFI 34-223, Private Organizations (PO) Program
Mission Support Group (MSG) Commander approval is required for a fundraiser whether the event is conducted on or off base. The 460 SW IMT 8 and the “Request to Conduct Fundraiser” documents must be filled out to request permission to hold a fundraiser.
Paperwork must go through several channels before approval, so requests should be submitted at least fourteen (14) days prior to the date of your event. Additionally, events cannot be advertised prior to your request being approved.
The Air Force conducts two annual fundraising campaigns: the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) and the Air Force Assistance Fund Campaign (AFAF). Permission to hold a fundraiser during either of these campaigns must be approved by the 460th Space Wing Commander.
